It’s one of our favorite times of the year: registration for the annual KC Catbackers Golf Classic! This year’s event will be held in Olathe at Prairie Highlands Golf Club on July 28 — and now you can secure your spot in the field.

Whether you’re flying solo, with a team or anything between, we’ve got you covered with various registration options. And to sweeten the deal, KC Catbackers members receive discounted pricing for both Individual and Team sign-ups.

We’re excited to announce the Football Kickoff event will return to Prairiefire in Overland Park on Tuesday, August 27, complete with Stan Weber previewing the upcoming season.

The free-to-attend, all-ages evening will start with a happy hour at 5PM. Enjoy food and drink at CocoBolos and other Prairiefire staples before Weber takes the stage at 6:30 to talk Chris Klieman, Avery Johnson and the Cats.

Please note the stage and seating area will be entirely in the shade, so don’t fret any warm temps. See you there!

Coach Tang and the Cats will be in KC later this month for an in-state battle with Wichita State at the T-Mobile Center, and we’re celebrating by partnering with the K-State Alumni Association for an epic pre-game party across the street.

Join us December 21 at McFadden’s in the hours leading up to tip-off for the festivities. There is NO cover charge, but there is going to be plenty of EMAW! See you there.

Note: Both establishments will open at 10 am for the game.

Ready to watch K-State Football run it back?! Join us August 22 at Prairiefire for our annual football kickoff event featuring Stan Weber, silent auction items and local eateries.

The annual Golf Classic is BACK and this time headed to Olathe at the prestigious, private Prairie Highlands Golf Club on July 10. “Where Scotland and Kansas collide,” Prairie Highlands is a newly renovated par 72, 7,100-yard golf course complete with links-style fairways and 60 bunkers scattered among the 18 holes.

Players can sign up as individuals or as a foursome (note: one player to sign up the team). Moreover, KC Catbackers Members can purchase the discounted rate as a thank you for your ongoing support! All players will receive food, beverages and a gift.

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start on July 10 at 9:00 a.m.

Summerfest is BACK with a party in the park in 2023! We’ll be hosting K-State Athletics on Wednesday, May 24 at The Pavilion at the Theatre in the Park (located inside Shawnee Mission Park).

This FREE event will feature Big 12 Champion head football coach Chris Klieman, K-State Men’s Basketball staff, student-athletes and more. Food and drink trucks will be on-site for purchase, including a taco, sandwich and charcuterie truck, as well as an ice cream and margarita/beer truck. Plus, kids activities and Willie the Wildcat himself!

And if that’s not enough, a silent auction will take place featuring one-of-a-kind items, along with exclusive prizes and more surprises.

The annual Royals ‘K-State Day at the K’ event is this Sunday, April 16, and we’ll be there with a tailgate in Lot N starting at 9 a.m. when the gates open.

Look for the tall lavender Willie flag and accompanying KC Catbackers banners, where you’ll find good beer and even better company leading up to first pitch at 1:10 p.m.

It all leads to this — our Cats begin what we all hope will be an epic NCAA Tournament run Friday against 14-seed Montana State.

If you’re unable to make it to Greensboro, North Carolina, for the Round of 64, join us at Social Waldo for the game. They’ve been great hosts throughout the football and hoops seasons, and are expecting one of their largest K-State crowds yet Friday.

Legendary K-State WR Kevin Lockett will be joining us Monday, October 17 at Chicken N Pickle - Overland Park. We’ll have the Be Amazing room (located on the first floor indoors) reserved from 6-9 PM that evening, with Kevin speaking at 7.

Expect many a stories about his time in MHK and what it’s like to have K-State FAMILY take on a whole new meaning after all these years.

After COVID-19 forced the closure of our longtime club HQ in Mission, we’re finally aiming to return to regular meetings, starting October 4 at a spot we love full well, Mr. P’z Bar & Grill in Overland Park.

Joining us to speak is former K-State punter Devin Anctil. A Second Team All-Big 12 and Ray Guy Award watchlist selection from Lenexa (Olathe Northwest), Anctil was a staple for our special teams unit from 2016-2019, including a career punting average that ranked sixth in Big 12 history among punters with at least 80 attempts.

Dinner and drinks will be available starting at 5 p.m. The program featuring Anctil will begin at 6:30.
